F1: Formula 1 Legend Johnny Herbert Meets with Jeddah Students

Legendary Formula 1 driver, winner of the renowned 24 Hours of Le Mans and popular racing pundit, Johnny Herbert, today visited The British International School of Jeddah where he spoke to students about his extraordinary career in motorsport.
During his visit, he spoke about his achievements as a three-time Formula 1 Grand Prix winner as well as his many successes in other racing series, including his victory in the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans and his subsequent career as an admired F1 commentator and pundit.
A true motor racing hero, Johnny Herbert belongs to an exclusive club of British drivers who enjoyed a successful career in Formula 1. Throughout his incredible career Herbert raced against many of Formula 1’s greatest drivers, competing for numerous teams including Benetton, Stewart, and Jaguar from 1989 to 2000. During this time, Herbert won three races, including the only ever Grand Prix victory for Stewart at the 1999 European Grand Prix as well as a famous victory on home turf while racing for Benetton at the 1995 British Grand Prix at Silverstone,
His passion for all types of motor racing also saw him win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1991. Thirteen years later in 2004, he won the Le Mans Series Championship. His post-racing career has seen him win legions of more fans as a charismatic and knowledgeable F1 commentator and pundit.
F1 is returning to Saudi Arabia for the third time in less than 16 months this weekend. Both previous editions proved to be two of the most exciting races in recent memory, providing some of the most iconic and breath-taking moments of on-track action of their respective seasons. The fastest street circuit on the Formula 1 calendar, the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, is once again ready to welcome thousands of fans for another three days of exhilarating racing action and live entertainment this weekend.
Speaking after his visit to the British International School of Jeddah, Johnny said: “I want to say a big thank you to the British International School of Jeddah for welcoming me here today. I’ve absolutely loved meeting the students and sharing my experiences with them. It’s been wonderful to see how passionate and engaged this young generation is with Formula 1 and what it means to them to have a race here in their home city. It is vital for young people in the Kingdom to realize the many opportunities that exist in the world of motorsport. I hope I have been able to answer their insightful questions and maybe even inspire some of them to consider a future career in motorsport!”

Events like this morning only serve to inspire them further and show them that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible!”
Tickets to the next edition of the spectacular Saudi Arabian race weekend are currently on sale to fans at home and abroad! In addition to the F1 racing itself, all ticket holders will also be able to enjoy watching the all-action Formula 2 and Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East support series as well as participate in and witness the many entertainment activities, fan festivals and live concerts that will be taking place across the circuit and F1 Fanzone all weekend.
