F1: McLaren to run special livery in Abu Dhabi
McLaren Racing and Official Partner BAT’s brand Vuse today unveiled a bespoke livery designed by Lebanese artist Anna Tangles, as the Driven by Change campaign returns for the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The livery design features Anna’s trademark linear style infused with McLaren’s papaya and blue colorway. The design celebrates the limitless power of creativity and was inspired by Anna’s own journey, leaving her regular job to dedicate her life to creating art.
Anna strives to empower artists from all backgrounds to see no limits to their own creativity, she aims to make art accessible to all by supporting her local creative community. Anna’s livery design will be carried on the McLaren MCL36 race cars driven by Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo throughout the entire 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix race weekend.
Driven by Change gives underrepresented creatives the platform to showcase their work to a global audience through motorsport. The initiative was launched at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where UAE-based artist Rabab Tantawy’s artwork was represented on McLaren’s F1 race cars.
The livery will be premiered at a private media event hosted by McLaren and Vuse at Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, 16 November.
