F1: Logan Sargeant lined up for Free Practice 2 outing at 2022 São Paulo Grand Prix
Williams Racing announced that Logan Sargeant will appear in FP2 at this weekend’s São Paulo Grand Prix.
The 21-year-old American Academy Driver will take Alex Albon’s place in Saturday’s session as he looks to further acclimatize himself with the FW44.
It will be his third of four Free Practice outings planned for this season; Logan has already taken the hot seat in Austin and Mexico City and is set to return for FP1 in Abu Dhabi.
The young American will also be in action at Formula One’s post-season Young Driver Test at the Yas Marina Circuit.
Speaking of the opportunity, Logan is understandably excited to be getting another test drive in ahead of Abu Dhabi, saying: “I’m looking forward to getting back in the FW44 for FP2 in São Paulo.
“I can’t wait to keep progressing with the team and building on the experience I gained in Austin and Mexico City.
“To be given the opportunity to drive at such an iconic track like Interlagos with its banked corners and the Senna S is a great feeling.
“A massive thank you once again to everyone at Williams for giving me another chance to get behind the wheel.”
