F1: Still plenty to bet on with two F1 races remaining

As far as the World Championships go, the 2022 Formula One season is over. Red Bull and Max Verstappen have picked up where they left off last season, but this time, they left no doubt that the Dutchman deserves the ultimate crown in racing.

However, with two races to go, there’s still plenty on the line for the other drivers, particularly those who want to prove themselves and their team worthy of contending next season. As such, there are plenty of betting opportunities to examine even with the crowns given out.

An opportune time to bet on the racing

Right now, using promo code ZBGC01, you can get the bet 10 get 30 offer to use on any sport in the sportsbook. Whatever currency you’re playing in, all that you need to do is verify your account as a new customer, place one whole 10 bet, and once it has settled, you’ll get 30 back as a free bet.

So, essentially, this offer grants two 40 bets from one 10 bet, with the 30 bonus bet value being removed from its winnings. For example, if you bet the 30 free bet on a 2/1 wager, you’ll return 60 rather than 90 had it been with real money – as real money wagers return the stake upon a win.

It’s a particularly good time for race fans to grab this offer as the season is coming to a close, and markets have opened up that exclude Max Verstappen. In the winner without Verstappen market of the sportsbook, Charles Leclerc is still only 4/9, with the Dutchman’s teammate, Sergio Pérez, just behind at 8/5 in the odds and only two points in the World Drivers’ Championship standings prior to the Mexico GP.

A wager on the season at hand with only a couple of events left would then grant the bonus for a punt on the winner of next season. As it stands, the 2023 title sees Verstappen as the 4/6 favorite, Leclerc in third at 4/1, and, surprisingly, Lewis Hamilton in second at 7/2. His teammate, George Russell, is a long shot at 16/1.

Tough to call the end of the F1 season

After Verstappen secured the Constructors’ Championship for Red Bull at the 2022 US GP in Austin, and with his crown secured, there were news reports that the team would change tactics for the final leg of the season. Surprisingly, given Verstappen’s near-relentless competitiveness, there was an idea reported that he’d turn into a supporting driver for the Mexican GP.

Being his home GP with both titles in the bag, outlets like Planet F1 mused if Verstappen would essentially let Pérez take the top spot on the podium as there’s very little on the line for him now. It’s this kind of logical thinking that implies that there may yet be more twists and turns in the F1 season.  However, Verstappen went on to win in Mexico and Perez had to settle for third place.

On November 13, F1 goes to Interlagos, which saw Hamilton win, Valtteri Bottas take pole, and Pérez clock the fastest lap last season. That said, Verstappen isn’t without a win at the Brazilian Grand Prix, securing first place in 2019.

After Brazil, it’s the mostly ceremonial Abu Dhabi GP, which the Dutchman will be looking to win for the third year running. Even with Verstappen at the front, the battle between Pérez and Leclerc will be important to the betting markets, and the Monégasque will be allowed to go full-throttle without any teammates ahead of him.

The 2022 F1 season may almost be over, but there’s enough action left for savvy fans to back winners and even get ahead of the crowds to call a winner for 2023.
