F1: Series launches partnership with Telcel and Telmex
Formula 1 announced today that it has launched a strategic new partnership with Telcel and Telmex which will bring F1TV Pro to their subscribers in Mexico. Customers will be able to purchase a F1TV Pro subscription as an add-on to their existing contracts for mobile and/or internet services with Telcel and Telmex.
The partnership has launched ahead of the FORMULA 1 ARAMCO UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2022 this weekend and will run until the end of the 2023 season, giving Telcel and Telmex customers an opportunity to experience elite-level coverage and feel closer to the action than ever before.
F1TV Pro offers viewers coverage of every Formula 1 session live and on demand, so fans can watch at their convenience. F1TV Pro also allows viewers to access all 20 driver onboard cameras and team radio channels live. Every F2, F3 and Porsche Supercup session is streamed live as well as a library of over 2,000 hours of archive and feature programming which subscribers can access.
Racing returns to Mexico next week for the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO 2022 which will give fans a chance to see fellow native hero Sergio Pérez in his home race. Pérez will be looking to clinch his first race win in Mexico City, in front of a sell-out crowd as Mexico continues to be one of the fastest growing markets for F1.
Ian Holmes, Director of Media Rights and Content Creation at Formula 1, said:
“F1TV Pro is a leading source of engagement for our most avid fans, as it provides access to more analysis and data, as well as a wealth of archive and exclusive content, so we’re very pleased to be bringing it to our Mexican fans to complement the already excellent coverage on Fox. The region is one of the most engaged throughout the sport, and we’re excited to be back in Mexico City racing next week”.
Marcela Velasco Cámara, Marketing Director at Telcel, said:
“The agreement with F1TV comes naturally, given the long history we have in motorsports, promoting outstanding drivers, like Sergio Pérez, and very important series; therefore their content offer will allow our customers to enter the world of Formula 1 like never before through the network with the largest coverage and speed.”
Benjamín Podoswa Schwaycer, Director of Commercial Development at Telmex, said:
“Incorporating F1TV to Telmex’s value-added offer, will provide our customers and motorsports fans with access to all the excitement of the series by being able to enjoy and interact with F1 at home, accessing from the largest and fastest broadband network in Mexico.”
