IndyCar: Can the existing car last another 50+ years?

The existing IndyCar is over 10 years old now.

The diagram above shows the car IndyCar is likely to use the remainder of this century and beyond.

Money is tight in IndyCar compared to F1 that is run by Liberty Media.  F1 teams design and build a 100% new car every year.

Like any junior feeder series to F1 the cars are spec, using technology F1 used back during the turn of the century.  Hence, reusing the existing car for another 50 years might be doable and will save so much money.
