IMSA: Series returns to Canada for first time in two years
IMSA teams will return to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport) July 1-3 for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Chevrolet Grand Prix.
This weekend’s race marks the first time the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship has competed in Canada since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
The 2.459-mile road course outside of Toronto is a favorite to many drivers.
It’s one of the most amazing tracks in North America. Racing is not about bravery, but here in North America some of those tracks it is about bravery and this one is.
It’s a track that’s very fast. Shorter than Watkins Glen, but for a driver it’s a pleasure to drive it. It’s one that requires big commitment – it’s a technical track, but superfast with many blind corners.
