Rumor: IMSA to be a support race to Miami GP F1 race
Rumor has it that Tom Garfinkel and the other execs at the Miami GP are looking for a support race or two for the F1 race in Miami Gardens starting in 2023.
While IndyCar would be an excellent choice as a support race to F1, on par with F2 performance that supports all the European rounds, Adam Stern reports that several execs from NASCAR, which owns IMSA, were at the race weekend earlier this month.
One can bet that NASCAR is worried about F1’s explosion in popularity in the USA and wants to get an angle on the action.
