NASCAR: Kyle Larson favored to win the Coca-Cola 600
The Kyle Larson love lives strong as the season continues. The Coca-Cola 600 now marks the 10th race of 15 this season that Larson has been favored to win, that’s an astonishing 66.7% of races.
Larson is given +500 odds, or an implied 16.7% chance to take home the victory. His biggest competition is expected to be Kyle Busch who’s given +550 odds, or an implied 15.4% chance. He’s followed by Chase Elliott who’s given +600 odds, or an implied 14.3% chance to win.
The drop-off is steep after that with Denny Hamlin fourth at +950, or an implied 9.5% chance of victory. Last weekend’s All-Star race winner, Ryan Blaney, is given +1200 odds or an implied 7.7% chance to take home his first victory of the cup season.
Quote from Oddschecker spokesman Kyle Newman, “The All-Star race winner has won the Cup Series each of the last two years. Blaney won this year and he currently sits second in the standings, so he may be a bargain at +1200. Of course, Larson won this race last year and oddsmakers do believe that counts for quite a lot here.”
