MotoGP: Mir leads opening practice at Jerez
Joan Mir led a Suzuki 1-2 in opening practice for the Spanish Grand Prix, as reigning world champion Fabio Quartararo crashed exiting Turn 13 and his bike ran over his groin.
Mir’s teammate Alex Rins moved up to second with his final lap, just 0.025s behind, with Alex Marquez third ahead of Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro and Quartararo.
