F1: Verstappen lapping Hamilton in Imola will make this season’s Netflix cut
Jos Verstappen says he “enjoyed” seeing his son Max lap Lewis Hamilton (see photo above) in Formula 1’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix this past Sunday.
Writing in a column on Verstappen’s official website, Jos obviously took great pleasure from seeing his son put a lap on Hamilton.
“Max had an excellent weekend in Imola,” wrote Verstappen Sr. “I found him incredibly strong. He didn’t make a single mistake, was solid and completely in control.
“Red Bull clearly made a step in the right direction. Of course, we knew the car would get an upgrade in Italy, but with the weather conditions it was hard to make a comparison. But we can definitely conclude that we’ve become stronger.”
“Honestly, I did enjoy seeing Max lap Hamilton, after everything that happened last year. Hamilton really had a tough time, whereas his teammate George Russell seemed to be more balanced. It’s not often you have the opportunity to lap a Mercedes.”
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff said that Verstappen lapping Hamilton should make the cut in the next Netflix: Drive to Survive season.
During the Sky Sports race broadcast, someone’s mic was open, and you can hear a voice saying “ouch” as Verstappen lapped Hamilton. Was that Lewis or was it one of the bias British journalist’s in obvious pain from the moment?
