F1: Vettel to return for Australian GP
Sebastian Vettel will return to the back marker Aston Martin team for the next Formula 1 race in Australia after missing the first two rounds of the season due to COVID-19.
Vettel failed to return a negative test in time for him to take part in the second race of the year in Saudi Arabia, with Hulkenberg subbing for him once again.
But Vettel is now better and will return for the Australian Grand Prix next weekend.
It will mark the start of Vettel’s season and give the German driver the chance to turn Aston Martin’s on-track fortunes around after a difficult start to the year.
TEAM UPDATE: We are pleased to confirm that Sebastian Vettel is now fit to race and will therefore line up alongside @lance_stroll in Melbourne to kick off his 2022 @F1 season at the @ausgrandprix. 💚#F1 #AusGP pic.twitter.com/LrFqaHyQ8W
