Supercars: WAU reveals major backer, livery for Percat
Walkinshaw Andretti United has today taken the covers off the all-new Mobil 1™ NTI Racing No. 2 that Nick Percat will drive in the 2022 Supercars Championship.
Percat will return to the team with the continued support of Co-Naming Rights Partners Mobil 1 and NTI, to form Mobil 1 NTI Racing.
Mobil 1 enter their 29th year with the team, and will retain their traditional spot on the bonnet of Car No. 2.
NTI, Australia’s specialist insurer, is stepping up their support in 2022, following two years as a Platinum Partner through their brand Truck Assist. As a leader in their own field, NTI are excited to back a promising Percat.
The striking black, white and sliver livery was brought to life through valued partners PPG, Signzone and Spicers.
New to the Team in 2022 are partners Isuzu Trucks, Supercheap Auto, and Anthem Workwear.
Platinum Partners Morris, Goodyear Autocare and Amarok W580 have continued their support in 2022.
Also returning are valued partners Corestaff, Versor, PPG, Appliances Online, Palm Trans, Prixcar Fleet Services, Woodstock Bourbon and Cola, UMS, Thetford, UMS, Amadio Wines, Lloyds Auctions, Raceline, OMP, SP Tools, King Springs, Kangan Institute, NGK, Oakley, Motum Simulation, K&N Filters, Kleentek, Stratasys, and TPF Sports.
Percat will get behind the wheel of the Mobil 1 NTI Racing No. 2 for the first time at the upcoming pre-season test day on Tuesday February 22, at Winton Motor Raceway.
NICK PERCAT – MOBIL 1™ NTI RACING
“To see the Mobil 1 NTI Racing car in the flesh, I think it looks absolutely amazing, and it all feels very real now.
“I’ve had some pretty cool history with Mobil 1 last time I was here, so it’s great to be representing them again, and then to have NTI step up as well with the team and show their support in me and the team is really cool.
“It’s fantastic to see such a strong show of support from the entire partner group, the family type atmosphere from the top down is something that was really obvious from the moment I walked back through the doors.
“I can’t wait for that first test day, it’s going to be really important as a team to get to know each other better and start to gel, everything to this point has been great, so I just can’t wait to put the helmet on and roll out there.”
BRUCE STEWART – TEAM PRINCIPAL, WALKINSHAW ANDRETTI UNITED
“We are rapt to reveal the Mobil 1 NTI Racing No. 2, we think it’s a seriously good-looking race car.
“It wouldn’t feel right to not have Mobil 1 on the bonnet, and to have NTI join them as a Co-Naming Rights Partner is fantastic, and we can’t thank them enough for their increased support for the 2022 season. Both are amazing companies who we are proud to represent.
“The support of our entire partner group has been incredible, we’ve got a lot of familiar brands on our car who we share great history with, which we are really thankful for, while also welcoming new partners to the fold this year.
“I’m really excited to see what Nick can achieve this season. He’s fitted in seamlessly around here, so it’ll be nice to get on track and get the year underway.”
TONY CLARK – CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, NTI LTD
“If ever there was a time to step up our support for Walkinshaw Andretti United – 2022 is it. There’s a new buzz ahead of this year’s season.
“The expansion of our sponsorship reflects our commitment, our trust and how excited we are to be part of the partnership mix for the entire team.
“The new livery looks fantastic. The NTI brand down the side of the car looks fast, even without moving. We can’t wait to see Nick in action.”
