F1: Red Bull 8th team to reveal their 2022 launch date

Red Bull is set to be the first team to reveal its 2022 Formula 1 contender next week.

The four-time constructors’ championship-winning operation will launch the RB18 on February 9, the earliest of any team so far, and a day prior to Aston Martin, and nine days before rivals Mercedes.

In a season of change, we are giving the wheel to the people that matter. Red Bull Racing are putting fans at the heart of the virtual RB18 unveiling. Together with Christian, Max, Checo and the wider Team, up to five thousand fans will broadcast the launch on Wednesday 9 February.

Red Bull’s launch next Wednesday is followed by Aston Martin (February 10) and McLaren (February 11).

AlphaTauri, Ferrari, and Mercedes are all scheduled to reveal their 2022 machinery the following week before pre-season testing commences on February 23.

Red Bull’s announcement leaves only Williams and Haas to reveal their launch dates, with eight of the grid’s 10 teams having scheduled theirs.

The first pre-season test starts in Barcelona on February 23, with Verstappen opening his championship defence in Bahrain on March 20.
