IndyCar: McLaughlin gets a new engineer

Scott McLaughlin’s engineer on the #3 Team Penske entry for 2022 in the IndyCar Series will be Ben Bretzman.

McLaughlin’s 2021 engineer, Jonathan Diuguid, is moving to Penske’s new Porsche LMDh program.

The addition of that sportscar effort coincides with the downsizing of its IndyCar operation to three entries.

The engineer for McLaughlin’s Penske teammate, Josef Newgarden, has yet to be named after the Arrow McLaren team poached Newgarden’s engineer Gavin Ward.
