R2i: Matteo Nannini Joins Juncos Hollinger Racing for Chris Griffis Memorial Open Test
Juncos Hollinger Racing is pleased to announce Italian-Argentinian Matteo Nannini will join the team this weekend for the Chris Griffis Memorial Open Test. Nannini will pilot the No. 15 Juncos Hollinger Racing Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires entry October 30-31st at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Nannini recently completed the 2021 FIA F3 Championship, claiming one win (Hungaroring), two podiums, and recorded one fastest lap. The young Italian-Argentinian also competed in eight FIA F2 races this season with a best finish of ninth at Bahrain. Nannini will make his first appearance in the Road To Indy Presented by Cooper Tires this weekend on the 2.75 mile, “Inner Loop” road course which uses the famous front straightaway at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
“I can’t wait to be running at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” said Nannini. “This will be my first time in the United States, so I am looking forward to this experience, as it is not every day you get to test at a track like this. I am confident we will have a great weekend and I want to thank Juncos Hollinger Racing for giving me the chance to test in the Indy Lights series.”

Nannini’s career highlights include competing in the 2020 FIA F3 Championship earning one podium, the 2019 F4 United Arab Emirates Championship claiming seven wins, 16 podiums, and seven poles to capture the championship, 2019 Spanish F4 Championship, and the 2019 Formula Regional European Championship.
The Chris Griffis Memorial Open Test will hold a total of six test sessions for each Road To Indy series throughout the two-day event this weekend October 30th-31st.
