Rumor: IndyCar making plans in case Western-Swing races cancelled
Rumor has it that the Portland, Laguna Seca and Long Beach IndyCar races could be in jeopardy due to the spread of the Delta Variant of Covid-19 that originated in the Wuhan, China laboratory, which was getting funding for Coronavirus research from Dr. Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the time.
IndyCar is weighing all options, including a different configuration of the Indy Speedway road course, as fail-safe if the western road swing loses a race or two. We don’t think any will get the axe, but one never knows.
If this were to happen, it would be the 4th IndyCar race held at IMS this year.
