F1: Verstappen tops wet Practice 3 at Spa

A wet but drying track saw F1 drivers on intermediate and wet Pirellis for much of the session as rain hit the Spa circuit in Belgium Saturday morning as predicted.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen had the fastest lap at 1m56.924s, nearly a full second faster than his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez in 2nd.

Lewis Hamilton was third for Mercedes 1.072s back.

Lando Norris and Esteban Ocon rounded out the top-5.

The times were largely irrelevant with plenty of teams opting to take it relatively easy and not take too many risks, and the track conditions ever changing with a dry line appearing at one point before more rain arrived to quickly remove any semblance of grip out there.
