Weekend TV Ratings
Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Verizon 200 run on the Indy road course averaged a 1.80 rating and 2.831 million viewers on NBC, down 33.3% from a 2.7 rating and 4.34 million viewers on NBC in 2020 when it was the Brickyard 400…….proving if the cars don’t go in circles the NASCAR fans don’t like it, too confusing.
IndyCar was back on NBCSN for the Big Machine Spiked Coolers GP on the Indy Road course and the TV rating stunk – an awful 0.3. This was down 18.9% from a 0.37 rating on NBC in 2020 for the Harvest GP. Thank goodness NBC decided to deep-six NBCSN after this year.
