Hunter-Reay tops IndyCar oval test (Update)

Seven IndyCar drivers took to the high-speed oval at the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway on Tuesday for further testing for the new 2023 IndyCar running higher downforce levels expected with the new car.
Andretti AutoSport Honda driver Ryan Hunter-Reay turned the fastest lap at 24.28s to nip Penske Chevy driver Simon Pagenaud and Arrow McLaren Chevy driver Pato O’Ward.
17 cars will be testing tomorrow.
