Rumor: RC Enerson to drive in Indy 500 for new IndyCar team

According to the IndyStar, a new IndyCar called Top Gun Racing will enter this year’s Indy 500 with RC Enerson (shown above)  as its driver. We have added this team to our 2021 IndyCar Silly Season page.

The small Indianapolis based team owned by Bill Throckmorton and Gary Trout already has a brand new Dallara in hand. No engine deal has been signed yet, but we assume it will be with Chevy.

If it comes to fruition Enerson would be the 31st driver slated to enter the 2021 Indy 500.

Do Not underestimate Enerson. In his brief stink with Dale Coyne Racing he was very fast and only a lack of money kept him from becoming a full-time IndyCar driver.

The team has plans to run full-time in 2022.
