Rumor: James Davison lands Indy 500 ride with Dale Coyne/Rick Ware (Update)

This rumor is downgraded to ‘false’ with today’s news that James Davison has decided NASCAR is more important to him that running in the Indy 500.

We have removed Davison from our 2021 IndyCar Silly Season page accordingly

Rumor has it that Australian James Davison (shown above) has secured a deal to run the 2021 Indianapolis 500 with Dale Coyne Racing w/Rick Ware Racing.

We hear he will run the #51 Honda that Romain Grosjean will be driving on the street and road courses only.

Davison drove for the #51 for the team last August in the Indy 500 (shown above).
