Yet another F1 driver catches Covid
AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly said on Twitter Sunday he had tested positive for COVID-19, becoming the 6th F1 driver to have contracted the virus.
“I wanted to let you know that I tested positive for COVID-19. I have told everyone I’ve been in contact with during these last days,” he said on Twitter.
“I’m currently self-isolating and following the protocol set by the local health authorities. I’m feeling OK, and will continue to follow my training plan from home while I remain in isolation.”
He joins Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll, Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc that’s 6 of the 20 F1 drivers.
Team bosses Toto Wolff (Mercedes), Simon Roberts (Williams), Lawrence Stroll (Aston Martin) and Pirelli tire boss Mario Isola have also had the virus.
