Rolex 24 Hour 16: #01 Cadillac leads #10 Acura at 2/3 mark
With 8-hours to go in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, and the sun up over Florida, the #01 Ganassi Cadillac continues to flex its muscle at the front with Renger van der Zande leading the #10 Wayne Taylor Acura of Ricky Taylor by 3.9s.
Caution flags and pit stops keep juggling the running order, but at the 16-hour mark the #60 Acura driven by Dane Cameron ran third while Pipo Derani in the #31 Cadillac and Jimmie Johnson in the #48 Ally Cadillac rounded out the top-5.
The #8 Tower Motorsports Oreca continues to lead in LMP2 over the #18 of Kyle Tilley. Oliver Askew has the #74 Ligier out front in LMP3.
The two Corvettes continue to dominate the GTLM class with the #4 of Tommy Milner moving ahead of the #3 of Antonio Garcia during a pit stop. The #25 RLL BMW of Connor De Phillippi ran third ahead of the sister #24 RLL BMW of Augusto Farfus.
The #57 Mercedes continues to lead the #21 Ferrari in GTD in a fierce battle.
