Kirkwood Completes Vasser Sullivan Driver Lineup
Vasser Sullivan Racing completed its 2021 IMSA season driver lineup with the announcement that Kyle Kirkwood will compete for the team in The Michelin Endurance Cup beginning with the Rolex 24 at Daytona, January 29-31, 2021 at Daytona International Speedway.
Kirkwood will co-drive the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 entry with Jack Hawksworth and Aaron Telitz in all four Endurance Cup events: the Rolex 24 at Daytona; the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring; the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen and the Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
Kirkwood, 22, the 2019 Indy Pro Champion, drove for the team last year competing in the Motul Petit Le Mans and the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
The announcement of Kirkwood completes the team’s lineup for the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season in the GTD class. The following is Vasser Sullivan’s driver lineup:
- Jack Hawksworth and Aaron Telitz will be the full-season co-drivers of the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3.
- Zach Veach and Frankie Montecalvo will be the full-season co-drivers of the No. 12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3.
- Robert Megennis and Kyle Kirkwood will compete in all Endurance Cup races in the No. 12 and No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus entries respectively.
- Townsend Bell and Oliver Gavin will join the team for the Rolex 24 at Daytona in the No. 12 and No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus entries respectively.
All Vasser Sullivan drivers will participate in the Roar Before the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway, January 21-24, 2021.
