Will Star Mazda move under Champ Car wings?

A reader asks, Dear AutoRacing1.com, With Mazda announcing that they will be supplying engines and sponsoring the Champ Car Atlantic series, wouldn't it make sense to move the Star Mazda Series under the Champ Car ladder such that there would be a step below Atlantics for drivers coming out of karting? Dear Jeff, While certainly there is some merit to that proposal, it may benefit Mazda to keep the Star Mazda Series under ALMS if for no other reason than to give the Mazda brand expose in more markets. With that said, let's see what happens. Mark C.
