Miles Maroney to F2000

Rumor has it that Miles Maroney, who was seen testing three days ago at Buttonwillow, is getting set for the transition from karting to the Pacific Coast F2000 series in 2010.
Pacific F2000 alumni include JR Hildebrand (before he went to run the now defunct Cooper Series), Team USA scholarship winners Robert Podlesni, Pat Barrett, and Grand Am drivers Jeff Westphal and Max Hyatt.
The East coast series (as opposed to the now new USF2000 series) features a rules package that allows open wings, diffs, shocks, and other stuff that let the person who spends the most have a substantial advantage. The Pacific Coast series has sealed shocks, stock diffs, stock wings, and basically the Cooper rules package which makes a lot of sense at that level of racing.
