Indy Pro champ rideless
UPDATE Interested spectators at the Indy Car test at Homestead Wednesday included a couple of Indy Pro Series veterans searching for IndyCar Series rides. 2005 Indy Pro Series champion Wade Cunningham, and 2006 champion Jay Howard were roaming the pit lane and garage area.
02/20/07 So much for the Indy Pro Series leading to opportunities. The last two champions have no Indy Car ride. Jay Howard, the 2006 Indy Pro Series champion, attended the first day of the Indy Pro Series Open Test at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The Englishman is looking to race in the IndyCar Series after winning the championship on the strength of two victories and seven podium finishes.
“I don’t have anything yet, but there are still a few possibilities," Howard said. “I’m sure I’ll be doing something."
