MP & Silva and ONE O ONE secure TV rights deals for Speedcar
Other terrestrial broadcasters will also be joining from the first official race on February 16 and 17 at the Sentul International Circuit in Jakarta, Indonesia. Over 50 territories across Middle East and Asia will be covered by the concluded deals, which include China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and most countries in Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The series, which will span across countries in the Middle East and Asia, will feature top drivers, such as ex-Formula One drivers, Jean Alesi, Johnny Herbert, and Stefan Johansson, as well as up-and-coming young aces from Asian countries, such as Narain Karthikeyan and Ukyo Katayama.
“The Speedcar Series is a high profile, world class motorsport event and we are extremely pleased and thrilled to be working on this project from the start," said Andrea Radrizzani, Chief Executive Officer, MP & Silva. “The team has been working very closely with all broadcasters from around the region and the number of countries covered through the distribution deals reflects the strong interest in the series."
“Motorsports is one of the fastest growing sports in the Middle East and Asia, and it is clearly evident by the great feedback received by broadcasters in the region," said Massimo Satta, Director of ONE O ONE. “We are extremely pleased by the strong uptake by broadcasters in the inaugural Speedcar Series and we are looking forward to greater visibility in those territories through our long-term partnership with MPS."
