Ronnie Bremer signs for Mercedes in DTC

Ronnie Bremer with the Mercedes he will drive in the Danish Touringcar Championship (DTC)

Ronnie Bremer has been announced as the sole Mercedes driver in the growing Danish Touringcar Championship. The new car is a brand new Mercedes C class model W204, owned by KP Racing, a new professional racing outfit domiciled in Herning, Denmark.

Ronnie Bremer has long been considered as KP Racing’s favorite choice of driver, however, the recent speculations over whether or not to continue his engagements in the United States, have delayed Ronnie Bremer’s confirmation somewhat. For a while it looked as if Ronnie Bremer was going to rejoin the Champ Car World Series, however, the outlook has changed due to the amalgamation of the series into the IRL series.

Ronnie Bremer says: “I must say that it was a hard and necessary reality check that led me to sign a contract with KP Racing: Despite the fact that I had recently secured the financial backing to continue in the Champ Car series, the conditions required as well as provided in the IRL were not in line with my situation. Therefore, when I was contacted by KP Racing and informed about the exiting project of bringing Mercedes back into the Danish Touringcar Championship, I immediately took notice of this opportunity. I consider Mercedes as being a pinnacle car as well as brand, and for me to be associated with Mercedes and KP Racing is big deal. I will do my very best to provide the driving necessary to maintain and further Mercedes’ huge traditions in the international motorsport.
