Walker Racing Atlantics Welcomes New Sponsor
Walker Racing is happy to announce that VITAL Lifestyle Water (http/:www.vitallifestylewater.com) the new 100 percent natural, low calorie and truly functional enhanced water will be joining the operation’s sponsor/partner portfolio for the remainder of the 2008 season. Not only will the VITAL Lifestyle Water logo be carried on all three Atlantic cars, but the team will stay refreshed at the tracks with their supply of VITAL Lifestyle water.
Vital Lifestyle Water is the only true functional water loaded with vitamins, minerals, all-natural supplements and the first beverage in North America to be naturally sweetened with the 100% natural fruit extract Fruit Up®.
“It’s always good news when we have new sponsor partners coming on board our program. We are happy to have VITAL Lifestyle Water joining the Atlantic team as one of our sponsor partners. This is a great emerging company that is very progressive and has a strong interest in reaching our core fans with their products, so it’s a great marriage. We are glad to welcome VITAL Lifestyle Water on board," stated Derrick Walker, Walker Racing Owner.
“Vital Lifestyle Water is excited to join with an established and respected brand like Walker Racing and we know that their team and their fans are going to understand and enjoy our product," said Paul Patterson, President of Vital Lifestyle Water. “The Walker team is at the forefront of technology and so is Vital Lifestyle Water in the functional beverage category so our two brands mesh well. The race team is always trying to set the bar higher for performance and that’s what Vital Lifestyle Water is doing by setting the bar high in our industry."
Reuniting with Walker Racing for the weekend is Canadian Alex Tagliani, who accepted the team’s offer to come and help coach their three drivers, Canadian Kevin Lacroix, and Greg and Leo Mansell, sons of former Formula One World Champion and IndyCar Champion, Nigel Mansell.
“Alex Tagliani accepted our invitation to come and support the Atlantic program at Laguna Seca, which really came out of Long Beach. When Alex was watching practice he came back to the pits with some input on how the drivers should try taking some of the corners differently. The response from the drivers was very favorable that we really thought continuing that on through Laguna Seca would be very helpful. Alex will be our designated driver coach for the weekend and I think it will help our drivers a great deal, because Alex can really teach the drivers, because he can relate to them," commented Walker.
Tagliani drove for Walker Racing under the Team Australia banner in 2005 and 2006 and competed for the team last month for the final Champ Car event in Long Beach, California.
“I had the opportunity to race with Walker Racing for the final Champ Car race in Long Beach and it is a great pleasure to continue my relationship with the team and to help drivers to be quicker on track," said Tagliani. “I think Walker Racing is a strong organization. If I can bring support to and bring success to the Atlantic team."
