Speedcom signs with HSR
“We are very excited to join HSR as an official sponsor partner and the exclusive communications supplier," said SPEEDCOM Chief Executive Officer Toto Lassally. “We have already enjoyed a close relationship with HSR and all of its competitors over the last few years but our new agreement formally establishes an even greater partnership that will be beneficial for everyone in the HSR paddock."
Celebrating its 20th season of competition this year, HSR’s 2010 calendar features eight events on such legendary circuits as Sebring International Raceway, Road Atlanta, Daytona International Speedway, Road America and others. The season-opening event at Sebring earlier this month drew nearly 200 vintage and classic cars in nine different classes of competition. The next HSR race will be the 34th “MITTY" presented by Classic Motorsports Magazine and sponsored by Mazda, at Road Atlanta, April 29 – May 2.
“SPEEDCOM has been a great supporter of HSR for several years and we couldn’t be happier to have them officially join our series as not only our exclusive communications supplier but also a valued HSR sponsor," said Ken Fengler, HSR Vice President of Race Operations. “We are fortunate to attract such a wide array of classic and modern-day cars at our events and SPEEDCOM has capably demonstrated the ability to meet the needs and demands of our competitors no matter what they are racing. They understand racing and our particular type of racing and we delighted to have them onboard."
SPEEDCOM offers a variety of communications technology and support options for racing competition, from full systems and new installations to servicing existing radio components currently used by HSR competitors. SPEEDCOM will have a fully equipped retail business unit and experienced technicians at every HSR event in addition to being available for sales and service during the week from its Daytona Beach headquarters.
