All Road to Indy Cars to carry Replay XD cameras
In addition, Andersen Promotions is launching the "Replay XD Move of the Race" award. One driver in each series will be selected based on race craft and will receive a Replay XD camera package. The winning drivers' onboard camera videos will be posted on the series' respective websites and promoted throughout social media channels.
"Our new partnership with Replay XD greatly enhances our broadcasting efforts," said Dan Andersen, Owner and CEO of Andersen Promotions. "Every car will now carry the revolutionary Replay XD cameras – one for each USF2000 entry and two for Pro Mazda and Indy Lights. Last year, for example, only one Indy Lights car per race carried an official onboard camera. We will now be better able to show the excitement of the racing that exemplifies the Mazda Road to Indy with dramatic HD footage and are thankful to Replay XD CEO John Spar and his group for outfitting all of our teams with their ground-breaking camera equipment. Their at-track support will allow us to maximize this program, and the new Replay XD Move of the Race will allow us to further showcase our talented fields. We couldn't be more excited."
From Indy Lights, stadium super trucks, motocross, surfing, and skimboarding to military, tactical and drones, Replay XD is an industry leader. The Replay XD cameras feature a high-strength aerospace aluminum body, Mil-Spec hard anodized for extreme durability to withstand the demands of video-actionography with over one million mounting positions. Water-resistant, the cameras weigh a mere two ounces making them perfect for any activity including racing.
Replay XD is also primary sponsor of the #26 Andretti Autosport Indy Lights entry piloted by Zach Veach.
"Replay XD is extremely excited to expand our involvement in the Mazda Road to Indy," said Spar. "The Mazda Road to Indy with its competitors and teams has become a big part of our Replay XD family. Over the last few years, we have had great experiences with the teams from USF2000, Pro Mazda and Indy Lights. Through their input and dedication, we have become the premiere in-car camera system in the motorsports industry. We feel that all these competitors embody the same passion in building winning race teams and drivers as we do in building the finest in-car and action camera systems. We are proud to be a part of Andersen Promotions and the Mazda Road to Indy and we look forward to years of success with everyone."
The 2014 Mazda Road to Indy season will kick-off on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla., in support of the IndyCar Series on March 29/30. The NBC Sports Network will broadcast all Indy Lights events and feature highlight shows on Pro Mazda and USF2000 throughout the season.
