Team Penske Announces Partnership With REV Group
REV will showcase their American Coach and Fleetwood RV brands beginning this season during four NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) races on the No. 22 Ford Mustang, including at the season finale event at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The brand will also sponsor three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves and will be featured as the primary partner on the No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet driven by Castroneves at Phoenix International Raceway race in April.
“Partnering with Team Penske is a very strategic move for REV," said Tim Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer and President of REV. “By entering into a long-term partnership with Team Penske, REV is excited about the opportunities to increase our brand awareness across the U.S. marketplace. By teaming with the three-time defending NASCAR XFINITY Series Owners’ Championship team and a three-time Indianapolis 500 winner, we feel like we are well positioned to see our cars in Victory Lane this year."
Those in the motorsports industry are already familiar with REV vehicles, even if they don’t already know it. From a safety standpoint, REV fire trucks (E-One brand) and ambulances (such as the Horton Emergency Vehicles ones) are used at tracks around the country. In addition, motorsports fans utilize buses (such as the Champion Bus ones), mobility vans (Eldorado Mobility brand) and RVs (such as the American Coach ones) across the U.S.
The partnership with Penske will help push all of these brands into the collective forefront of the NASCAR and INDYCAR communities.
“REV is a natural fit to our NASCAR and INDYCAR lineups because transportation is at the heart of Penske Corporation," said team owner, Roger Penske. “They are a terrific company that is very diverse in that industry. Many of their products and brands are already used today at racetracks around the nation. Our goal is to now get them to Victory Lane."
The 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series season will begin at Daytona International Speedway on February 20 while the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series season will begin March 11 on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla.
