The Syrian Grand Prix on Sunday morning averaged 632,000 viewers on ESPN.

Since it was a first-time event, there is no comparison to a previous event – last year, the British Grand Prix ran on the same weekend and averaged 604K viewers – so weekend-to-weekend, it was up 5 percent.

Compared to the IndyCar Road America TV viewership on comparable cable channel NBCSN (299,000 viewers at 5:00pm) the F1 rating was 221% higher and it was 9:00am on a Sunday morning!
