Indy 500 to run on October if fans not allowed

The Indianapolis 500 will run as scheduled on Aug. 23 only if fans are allowed to attend, President and CEO of Penske Entertainment Corporation Mark Miles told the Indianapolis Star on Sunday

In the interview with Racer.com, Penske said that the Indy 500 would be run in October if fans are not allowed in August. Penske said the decision followed a series of meetings with Gov. Eric Holcomb and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett.
