The first 20-minute qualifying session for the FIA GT Championship race at Silverstone saw Mike Hezemans claim pole position in the nr 4 GLPK Carsport Corvette C6, ahead of the Zakspeed Saleen S7 and the Phoenix Racing Aston Martin DBR9. The session was wet, although the rain had eased slightly. "It was all down to the tires," Mike said of his Michelin-clad car. "They were so good, there was so much grip, it was fantastic. The track stayed very wet, and there was so much traffic, but I managed to get one free lap."
