What’s with Dodge winning?
A reader writes, Dear AR1.com, I am a firm believer that everything happens in NASCAR for a reason. What's with Dodge winning poles and races rather frequently now? Is NASCAR trying to give Dodge some PR so they don't leave the series? Are they turning their head in the inspection line? I remember when Dodge first came into NASCAR – first race of year and both Dodges were on the front row for the Daytona 500 as a thank you for coming into the series (must have been done with their computer generating grid computer used by Timing & Scoring that awarded them the pole). When the green flag dropped both cars made a bee-line to the back of the field. What happened to all that speed? Oh but by locking up the front row they got a lot of great PR for coming into the series. Mordichai Rosen, Los Angeles
Dear Mordichai, By the grace of God things happen for the good of the sport in NASCAR. Logano needed a win recently to keep his job, he got it. Dale Earnhardt Jr. needed a win after going winless for four years and he got it. The Dodges need wins now, they are getting them. Jimmie Johnson hadn't won a pole since 2010, he got one. Danica Patrick needed some positive PR and she got it (won a pole). They pray to God before every race in NASCAR and week-in and week-out things just work out for the best of the sport or a team or manufacturer that needs help. They truly are God's chosen series.
