Danica Patrick may end up with Ryan Newman's crew chief in 2013, but Stewart-Haas Racing claims that nothing has been officially decided at this point. Rumors about the change have increased since Newman received a sponsorship deal with Quicken Loans. Greg Zipadelli, who joined Stewart-Haas Racing in 2012, is Patrick's current crew chief. However, the team is allegedly interested in having Zipadelli focus more on his role as competition director.

Speculation continues surrounding the possibility that Ryan Newman's crew chief, Tony Gibson, will switch to supporting Danica Patrick in the 2013 Sprint Cup. Both Newman and Patrick plan on running the full schedule next year, and the rumors have intensified after the announcement that Quicken Loans would sponsor Ryan Newman.
