Will National Guard drop IndyCar sponsorship?

NASCAR keeps their sponsors happy

A reader writes, Dear AR1.com, Conveniently Dale Earnhardt Jr. gave National Guard a big win in Daytona. Most people think it was fixed but even if it was not, National Guard is happy. So why should National Guard stay in IndyCar with all the in-fighting and backstabbing with teams stealing sponsors from each other all the time. It is like a cesspool. The latest lawsuit between Panther Racing and Rahal Letterman Lanigan over the National Guard sponsorship should be enough to send National Guard running for the door the first chance they get.

Before I go, I noticed that Alliance Truck Parts moved up to Sprint Cup this year for 8 races with Brad Keselowski. Phoenix is the first of the 8 races. Are you surprised Keselowski is miraculously on the pole? Everything happens in NASCAR for a reason. Everything. Regardless, they keep sponsors happy while IndyCar does their best to chase them away with lawsuits, infighting and TV ratings so low on NBC Sports Network an infomercial about basket weaving would do better. But the Hulman George family is getting that big check from NBC and using the money as a welfare payment to the teams to help keep them afloat. They call it the Leader Circle program, but it is no different than a welfare check from the US government. All for now…… Mordichai Rosen, Los Angeles, CA
