Bourdais frustrated

Champ Car point leader Sebastien Bourdais was frustrated, or livid depending on how you want to characterize it, after stepping out of the car today after final qualifying in Edmonton. After being fastest in the first practice session Friday, Bourdais crashed in qualifying later that afternoon and ended up 10th on the provisional grid. Then today he never got enough laps in to improve his position. Even though the track was slower today because of the conditions, the fastest driver on Saturday is guaranteed one of the front row spots. "If we could have set the fastest time in today's session we could have moved up to second on the grid, but we were not able to give it much of a shot because of all the red flags. Realistically it will be difficult to pass in the race," said a frustrated Bourdais as he grabbed his helmet and bolted over the wall to debrief co-team owner Paul Newman.
