Threats made at WTCC finale
During qualifying for the Macau GP – the final races of the WTCC this year – Chinese driver Paul Poon from Hong Kong and Brazilian driver Augusto Farfus – who has been penalized for rude driving against Jörg Müller and Alex Zanardi earlier this year – crashed and Poon couldn't continue, which meant that the times he had clocked so far exceeded the 107% limit of the pole time and he can thus not take part in the races. He got so upset about this that he threatened Augusto Farfus 'would not leave Macau alive'. Poon's team manager Kurt Treml of German team Engstler Motorsport confirmed the threat and so did the FIA. Farfus' only comment about the incident was that Poon was a 'bad race car driver.'
