50th anniversary Mazda Raceway tickets on sale
Tickets for the U.S. Sports Car Invitational featuring the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series May 18-20, the AMA Superbike Series September 15-16, and the Monterey Sports Car Championships featuring the American Le Mans Series will go on sale at 8:00 a.m. (PST) on-line at www.laguna-seca.com/tickets. Premier and Reserved Camping for these events will only be available by calling the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca ticket office at 800-327-SECA (7322).
The U.S. Sports Car Invitational is headlined by the large fields of Daytona Prototypes and GT cars of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. The Daytona Prototypes and GT cars will do battle in a 250-mile race (with a two-hour, 45-minute time limit) on Sunday, May 20. The Rolex Sports Car Series will be joined by the Grand-Am Koni Cup for high-performance sports cars along with the SCCA MX-5 Cup.
The AMA Superbike Championship provides two-wheel fans with the second opportunity to see motorcycle road racing’s best (after the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix featuring the MotoGP World Championship) compete on the 50-year-old circuit. A full slate of AMA road racing is on tap, including the AMA’s Supersport, Superstock, and Formula Xtreme series.
The 50th Anniversary season at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca concludes with the world’s most exotic racing sports cars. The Monterey Sports Car Championships October 19-21 provides a dramatic conclusion to the 2007 American Le Mans season with a Saturday, October 20 afternoon-into-evening four-hour race featuring the high-tech, high-speed prototype and GT machines.
