Andretti Green Announces Executive Assignments

Andretti Green announced today it has made additional changes to the commercial side of its Indianapolis-based racing operation.

John Lopes, who joined Andretti Green in 2005 as vice president, has been named chief marketing officer. Lopes, a 17-year veteran of the motorsports industry and native of New Fairfield, Ct., will have an expanded role in all sales, marketing and promotion at Andretti Green Racing and Andretti Green Promotions, which owns the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Lopes' primary focus is business development, including new sponsor acquisition and special projects.

Lopes is a 1985 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., and is a 1993 graduate of the Duke University School of Law. Lopes donates much of his personal time to charitable interests, including Boys and Girls Clubs of Indianapolis and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Mike Morrisey, who is in his second decade with the Andretti Green family, has been promoted to the position of vice president of finance and controller. Morrisey, who earned an accounting degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1992, joined Team Green in May of 1996 as an accountant. He served in that role until being named controller and director of finance, and then made the transition to Andretti Green Racing. As vice president of finance, the Charleston, Illinois-native oversees all of AGR's IndyCar Series and American Le Mans Series (ALMS) finances, as well as the financial operation for Andretti Green Promotions. In addition, Morrisey serves as treasurer on the board of directors of The Michael Andretti Foundation.

The organization has also added Doug Bresnahan to its commercial staff in the role of director of sales and marketing. Bresnahan came to Andretti Green from Champ Car World Series where he served as director of partner services. Bresnahan, who is a native of Berne, Ind. and a 1995 graduate of Indiana University, will seek to grow sponsorship bases for both Andretti Green Racing and Andretti Green Promotions while working closely with Lopes on his objectives.

"Andretti Green has been fortunate to enjoy its share of success on the race track over the past four years and that has led to consistent growth for the company," said Kevin Savoree, Andretti Green's president and chief operating officer. "To help us manage our current growth and strategic plans, it is important for us to strengthen the commercial side of our operation. John, Mike and Doug will be an integral part of that effort."
