Buschemeyer joins Serra Sierra

Minden, Nevada – David Buschemeyer will round out the Sierra Sierra Enterprises engineering team in the upcoming 2007 Cooper Tires Presents The Champ Car Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda. Buschemeyer brings with him a broad base of racing experience. His background in Champ Car, Champ Car Atlantic, Formula Ford, Indy Lights as well as the LeMans 24 is certain to help the team’s results.

Buschemeyer’s attention to detail and passion for the nuances of racing are two of his self-described attributes. “The level of attention to detail required to compete at the front can never be underestimated! I really enjoyed getting the best results possible for my drivers and teaching them how to approach driving cars professionally," said Buschemeyer.

“We are pleased to have someone with his [Buschemeyer’s] talent and experience on the engineering team. The field is so competitive that every aspect of the set up must be perfect to see the results that we expect next season," said Richard Raeder, Sierra Sierra Enterprises Team Manager.

Buschemeyer’s excitement to starting working with the team is evident:
“I am looking forward to working with all of the great people at Sierra Sierra and having a fun time winning races!"

Buschemeyer will be on board this weekend when the Sierra Sierra team participates in the first Atlantic open test of the 2007 season in Sebring, Florida.

With the expansion to a two-car team – featuring returning racer Raphael Matos and new addition James Hinchcliffe behind the wheel – a very strong and experienced crew and drivers with proven results, Sierra Sierra is definitely a team to watch this season.
