McLaren ends test early

McLaren brought an early end to their Jerez test by electing not to take to the track on Friday. The British squad, who had run world champion Fernando Alonso, Pedro de la Rosa and Lewis Hamilton this week at the circuit, were dealt a blow when the latter wrecked his car in a high-speed shunt on Thursday. And following the onset of bad weather, they decided to pack up a day early. They will however return for more running next week. Eurosport
