Prodrive hit out at Williams
David Richards, the chairman of Prodrive, has hit back at Frank Williams' assertion that chassis sharing and the use of so-called "customer cars" has not yet been agreed for the 2008 formula one world championship. "There is absolutely no question about it, customer cars are permitted in 2008," said Richards, who may lease cars from McLaren-Mercedes for Prodrive's formula one debut next year. "Williams have entered the 2008 world championship accepting that condition. It all seems absolutely clear to me." Williams may take legal action against Scuderia Toro Rosso and Super Aguri if they use cars they have not designed and built themselves. The Guardian
