Doornbos pulls out of Toro Rosso race
(GMM) Robert Doornbos has counted himself out of the running for one of the vacant race drives at Toro Rosso.
The Dutchman was reportedly in contention for a pay-driver ride at the Faenza squad until he penned a contract to again be the 'reserve' and test driver at parent team Red Bull in 2007.
Doornbos, 25, also confirmed that he will spearhead his new test and grand prix duties with a race seat in America, although he has not yet inked a race deal with one of two possible Champ Car teams — Forsythe and Minardi.
Referring to Adrian Newey's 'RB3', he said: "If it proves as quick as it looks, we can look forward to a great year!"
