Abu Dhabi F1 festival schedule
This Saturday, the first F1 Festival at Abu Dhabi will take place in the city of Abu Dhabi to cement interest in the city hosting an F1 race in the near future. The street circuit will stretch along Abu Dhabi's city waterfront, running from the Emirates Palace, along the Corniche through to the Marina Mall. The route has been designed to give the public the best possible views as the event is free for the public. The event will see the biggest gathering of F1 cars and drivers outside a Grand Prix.
The full schedule is as follows:
09:00: Road closures in place. Entertainment begins on big screens.
09:30: Drivers practice in FIA Safety Car – to be shown on big screens.
10:00: VIP pit visit, led by ex-driver Martin Brundle – to be shown on big screens.
10:40: Driver parade.
11:00: Formula One cars perform a lap of the circuit, one team at a time.
12:10: Formula One cars perform a final lap in 2006 championship order.
12:20: Fly-past by Etihad Airways.
12:25: Event concludes.
