NASCAR Daytona TV Ratings

UPDATE #2 Correction: The overnight 4.2 rating was a 26 percent decrease from the 5.3 overnight Fox pulled for the same event back in 2005, and in 2005 the race was up against the Pro Bowl football game. We had inadvertently compared it against the final rating.

02/13/07 The FOX overnight ratings for the Budweiser Shootout represent an 11% drop from the 4.7/8share in 2005 when the Shootout was last televised on FOX, the ratings drop for NASCAR races that we saw in 2006 appears like it might continue into 2007. We'll have to wait and see how the qualifying races on Thursday and the Daytona 500 itself fare.

02/12/07 The overnight USA TV rating on FOX for the Budweiser Shootout Saturday night was a 4.2/7 share. The overnight rating for Daytona 500 Qualifying on Fox was a 2.5/6 share.
